    WHAT YOU CAN DO: Drop off your daily limit of Northern Pike -- in Designated Coolers until the closing time, OR freeze them and drop them off the next day. Please record you harvest at SpiderLakePikeProject.com

    MISSION: Northern Pike are an invasive species in the Spider Chain of Lakes. Our goal in 2025 is to remove 750 Northern Pike from the Spider Chain of Lakes. Learn More: go to  Catalog of Invasive Species page of the SCLA website.

    All lake property owners are encouraged to spend My Shoreline Week implementing Best Practices of shoreline management.   

    NEED IDEAS?  Go to the Shoreline Stewardship page of the SCLA website. 

    HOW CAN YOU HELP? To learn about lake monitoring with your kayak/canoe go to the Lake Monitoring page of the website. Lake monitoring is only a SIX HOUR PER YEAR commitment!  And it's fun!

    Early Detection of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) is critical. Aquatic Invasives can have devastating effects on lakes -- limiting boating, swimming, and reducing property values.

    Volunteer to become a Lake Monitor and do what you already do on the lake in your boat or kayak – with an educated eye toward Invasives. It’s only a 6-hour commitment per year and it’s FUN!
