SPIDER LAKE PIKE PROJECT: NEW 2024 DAILY LIMIT IS 10 PER PERSON!

Northern pike are an invasive species in the Spider Chain of Lakes. Our goal in 2024 is to remove 750 of this invasive fish from the Spider Chain of Lakes. Have fun ALL YEAR, and help make a sizable dent in this pesky population.  The NEW 2024 DAILY LIMIT is 10 Northern Pike Per PERSON!  All fish must be legally caught.

The Spider Lake Pike Project during Memorial Day weekend was a success! Over three days, 107 pike (13”-26” ea) were caught and removed from the Spider Chain of Lakes. Each pike was measured and recorded by volunteers collecting data for the WDNR Musky Research Project.  Large Pike were filleted and donated to a local food shelf, small pike were donated to a local organization.  Thank you VOLUNTEERS, for building community by serving coffee, donuts to anglers and visitors, for filleting and preparing fish, and for helping Musky, Bass, and Walleye!
