SPIDER LAKE PIKE PROJECT: Memorial Weekend - We Need You!
DATES:
May 25-26: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
May 27: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
WHERE: Clear Lake Boat Launch (adjacent to Spider Lake Golf Resort: 11165 Elaine Drive, off of Murphy Boulevard)
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Help distribute coffee & donuts in the morning and/or fillet the pike in the afternoon. AND! Catch your limit of Northern Pike (10/day) and take to the boat launch for processing.

Volunteers will collect northern pike from the Spider Chain of Lakes Memorial Day weekend. Bring your northern pike to the Clear Lake boat launch on Saturday (5/25) and Sunday (5/26) 7am to 7pm, and Monday (5/27) 7am to 1pm. Coolers will be there to collect your catch. Volunteers will clean and process pike into fish cakes and donate to the Hayward Community Food Shelf. Some pike may also be donated to private entities in the area. Mission: Northern pike are an invasive species in the Spider Chain of Lakes. Our goal in 2024 is to remove 750 of this invasive fish from the Spider Chain of Lakes. Have fun and help make a sizable dent in this pesky population!
